You are not alone.

Ines was my next patient. Her book had kept me up late the night before. Now, she sat across from me at my office desk and I had to know where she had gotten the concept for her book. Ines looked into my eyes and responded, “I am Marsha.” I swallowed, momentarily stunned. There was no indication Ines had endured the life-changing horror that forever changed the way she lived her life.

Individuals of all ages, with various levels of pain, due to catastrophe, disability, or merely the natural aging process are daily patients in the pain management department. Over the years we have seen many faces of pain.  Sometimes pain management will suffice, other times surgery is necessary. Ines experienced the gamut, a battle from near death to the charismatic woman she is today. Too often patients give up their fight. Their hope for recovery, lost. Ines never did.

A life and death situation, when seconds count, could happen to anyone, any time. Ines came face to face with the other side. Given a choice of life or death, Ines chose life. She listened to a voice and gathered strength she did not know existed. Ines fought for survival, recovery, and the extensive road of rehabilitation. You are bound to feel her pain, frustration, and relate to her family’s and friends’ anguish. Yes, God gave Ines a second chance, but that was not enough. Discover how Ines battled for survival and recovery. She fought an uphill battle one step at a time. I applaud Ines for her strength, determination, and perseverance necessary to reach her highest potential, in the darkest hour.

Ines has walked in the shoes of many of my patients over the years, and I am thankful she shares her story for the benefit of survivors and their loved ones. She answers questions from experience, provides encouragement and fosters hope. This true story is for those challenged and anyone touched by tragedy.

Author Bio

Surviving years of struggle through rehabilitation, a lifelong journey, defines Hatch. Some people give up. Marsha never did. Discover the power of determination and perseverance. Discover how the restoration of activities of daily living became Hatch's goal.

Grade school was grueling. High school, difficult to say the least. College, interesting.

The real world is challenging, especially for individuals with disabilities. Opportunities dwindled and doors closed in the business world. Yet Hatch never gave up.

In tandem, Hatch continued with notes of her experiences, one account at a time,  one story after another. The written word was her first love and became stronger with time.

Do you know someone who suffers from challenges? Pain, anxiety, frustration, and even depression are not strangers. Discover secrets to help navigate the road to recovery, the journey of rehabilitation, and more.

Hatch's purpose became clear early on: make a difference for those in similar life situations through stories based on personal experience. People look for a mentor they can relate to. Marsha's Adventures, the series was born.

The Adoption Circle Choices Count

An information-packed novel. Again, based on a true story, Hatch winds through challenges she and her husband faced. The adoption process, one of peaks and valleys, ignites stress, anxiety, and pain for this adoption triad, birth mother included. This saga presents appreciation for the preparation, frustration, and anguish adoptive parents could experience. I wish I had had a book for guidance and education of the process.

Hatch provides insight into the adoption process. She gives evidence from her experience. This book aims to help the reader understand the truth of adoption and what to expect. How many have truly experienced the truth of what adoption can be and is about? As the reader learns in this book, adopting can often feel like a roller coaster ride that frays emotions to the breaking point or fills one with equally overwhelming joy.
